WEEBLY Fined Tuned
The first thing to notice is that we changed the Header, so we talk about that now. While still on the ‘Basic Editor’ Page, click on the ‘Designs Tab’. This is where you will see nine different Headers. Move your cursor over the headers slow and you will see your Blog, now with the header your cursor is resting on. It would not take you long to choose one of the nine, I have to stop here, as I just typed 1 of 9 my mind shot to Star Trek’s ‘7 of 9’! … Moving on …
B U T ! Weebly makes it harder on you as you move your cursor over the scroll arrow to the right and click, Nine more Headers roll across. Do it again and again and I counted about forty-seven headers to choose from.
We took the first one that was the default and planted some flowers and trees and we will stick with this second one I promise! Now click on the ‘Pages Tab’.
Now under Manage Pages, we click on ‘New Page’ in lieu of ‘New Blog’ and now we have the new page with the Title HiLited and now we right click and paste our New Page Title that we copied from above. Do not click on ‘Password Protect’ unless you want to buy the $30 Pro Edition of Weebly. Leave Navigation ‘Yes’ and click on ‘Save’ and you are back to your home page with a ‘WEEBLY Fined Tuned’ page tab to click on and it opens your new empty page. Now we will copy this and above and paste it on a New ‘Paragraph with Title’ that we dragged down into the Working Area.
The next thing we do is drag down a ‘Two Column Layout to work with, drag down a ‘Paragraph’ in the Left Column and we will paste this paragraph in it. Both of these are in the ‘Basic Elements’ Menu Bar at the top of your page.
You can put a graphic, another ‘Paragraph with Picture (or Title)’ into the right column. We will continue with how to ‘Link’ text, a Title, graphic or even the Blog’s Title, to different things in the Blog or even to another Web Site. Lets start with the Blog’s Title on the Home Page. We HiLight ‘Another Blog! ~WEEBLY~’ and the ’Font Editor’ drops down and we click on the ‘Chain Link Icon’ between the Minus Sign (-) and the Color palette. We have already right clicked on the last lesson and chose,”Copy Link Location”, so when the Link Menu Drops we click on website and paste the ‘Location’ in the appropriate box. You need to hit home and cut the http:// out of the location as it is already in the drop down to the left and there is no Blank. Clickon ‘Save’ And that one is done. Now I will put in This Link here in the Right Column To this website,i.e www.dpgatten.com/, HiLite it and do “The Link Thing’ again! Then we will say that, “We hope this has been helpful!” Let us Know in the comments and come back soon!
Be Blessed, DP
